Principles of Trauma Informed Care

Being Trauma Informed Training Program

This program takes the neurobiology of trauma and focuses on long term impact, to help those working with trauma survivors in non-clinical settings (attorneys, advocates, intake workers, etc) be more effective in their interactions.

We examine the long term impact of trauma on behavior, emotion, and cognition and provide a variety of concrete skills that will increase your effectiveness. Some of the skills include how to be an informational thinker, understanding how the brain maps safety versus threat and the three ways of increasing the chance someone will map you to safety, and how to work with individuals who struggle to regulate their emotion and behavior.
